The doubles team of freshman Marjorie Souza and sophomore Lea Karren picked up a 6-2 win over St. Mary's Ashley Penshorn and Marina Vigil to advance to the finals in the Blue Draw but fell to Incarnate Word's Brandelyn Fulgenzi and Laura Fulgenzi 4-6.
Also in doubles, senior Alicia Thal and junior Ana Platisa closed out play with a 6-4 win over Jana Knaab and Alejandra Landaluce in the Gold Draw.
The Vaqueros will be back in action on Oct. 2 when they compete at the Texas State Invitational in San Marcos.
