Students in Elizabeth Grolley’s second grade class in the Green Island Union Free School District took a dance break recently to shake out their energy during a lesson. In the photo, students Anthony Cesare and Makhii Ellis break it down on their own terms – with their backs to the class and the video. Grolley said the break was a good way for the young learners to take a break and prepare themselves to focus when the lesson resumed. Green Island Union Free School District is a 280-student school district located in Albany County. The district has a single building, known as Heatly school, that serves its K-12 student population.
