STORRS, Conn. - Junior Lara Kaplan posted a straight-set singles win over her opponent from LIU to cap the Binghamton women's tennis showing at the four-team UConn Invitational, held this weekend at the UConn Tennis Courts. 

Kaplan, playing at No. 1 singles, posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Elinor Storkaas. Kaplan also had a three-set match against her opponent from Rhode Island, falling 10-5 in the third. 

Junior Kyra Bergmann played three tight matches at No. 2 singles. 

The Bearcats competed in five singles and two doubles draws, matching up with the host Huskies, LIU and Rhode Island. 

Binghamton next competes at the ITA Northeast Regionals, hosted by Penn on Oct. 1-3.
