The Shippensburg University women's soccer team came up short in its 2021 season opener on Friday night, dropping a 2-0 decision to Frostburg State at the D2 in the DMV Tournament held in Leesburg, Va.
Shippensburg (0-1-0) ramped up its offensive pressure over the final 15 minutes of the match, including one shot that hit the crossbar, but were unable to find the back of the net.

Shippensburg returns to action Sunday when it faces Charleston at the D2 in the DMV Tournament.
