Field Hockey Drops Match at MSU - Central Michigan University Chippewas

Central Michigan Field Hockey fell at Michigan State on Sunday, 6-0.

CMU's Katie Maxim had 12 saves in 55 minutes of action, Coletta Beeler had three saves in five minutes and Allaura Bohan tallied two defensive saves.

Kate Biglin led the Chippewas with four shots while BobbiMarie Parker posted three shots.

Michigan State (6-1, 0-1 Big Ten) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter before a scoreless second quarter. MSU added one goal in the third quarter and two in the final frame. The Spartans outshot CMU, 31-10, had more shots of goal, 23-2, and tallied more corners, 12-4.

CMU is currently 1-6, 0-1 in conference action. They return home on Friday, Sept. 24, when CMU hosts No. 23 Kent State at Cristy Freese Field beginning at 1 p.m.
