In the Dallas Cowboys’ Week 1 Thursday Night Football loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, second-year wideout CeeDee Lamb finished with seven catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. Despite the solid game on paper, Lamb had a few costly drops for his team.

After the game, Lamb addressed the drops and vowed to be better in the remainder of the long season.

“Personally, it was very disappointing, especially on my end considering I played a part in us continuing being down because of the drops I had,” Lamb said, via The Athletic's Jon Machota. “You live and you learn, and I’m going to be better for this team.”

In the 31-29 loss, quarterback Dak Prescott completed 42 of 58 pass attempts for 403 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Tampa Bay kicked a game-winning 36-yard field goal with seven seconds left to clinch the victory.

Following the game, Prescott also talked about his performance and how it felt to play in a real game for the first time since October of last year.

“I don’t feel like I say things just to say them, so that’s just a credit to all the work I put in,” Prescott said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. “I think when you invest that much work in rehab and prehab and just everything that has gone into the last 11 months for me to get on the field, I mean, I’m not surprised about the way that I went out there and fought. Ran the ball a couple times and did all the things that I’d normally do 11 months ago. No, I feel like I’m a better player than I was when I left the field [last year] and I told y’all that was the expectations I had for myself, and I’ll continue to try to get better game in and game out.”

The game script was pass-heavy, as Prescott threw the ball 58 times in his return, a career-high. Running back Ezekiel Elliott only rushed the ball 11 times for 33 yards in the loss.

In the receiving game, Dallas was led by Amari Cooper, who caught 13 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Second-year wideout Ceedee Lamb also hauled in seven passes for 104 yards and a score.

As for the other quarterback in the game, Tom Brady, the 44-year old Buccaneers signal-caller completed 32 of 50 passes for 379 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. One of his interceptions came off a dropped pass from running back Leonard Fournette and the other one was on a hail-mary attempt at the end of the first half.
