PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Union College women's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses on day two of the Johnson & Wales Invitational, falling in three sets to Clark University and Babson College on Saturday.
Clark 3, Union 0
Sophomore Keara Page led Union with 10 kills against the Cougars, followed by first-year Morgan Bohlke with four kills. Junior Haley Kresch once again assumed the primary setter duties and finish with 18 assists, while senior Jessica Siragusa had a solid game defensively with a team-leading 20 digs.
Babson 3, Union 0
Bohlke led the team with five kills against the Beavers, as the Dutchwomen attack struggled against a strong Babson squad. Kresch again led the team with 11 assists, while Siragusa added a team-best 10 digs, two more than sophomore Meredith Blinn.
Union will play the next nine matches on its home court, beginning on Tuesday when Union hosts SUNY Poly in its home opener starting at 7 p.m. at Viniar Athletic Center.
