MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers cut into a 2-0 halftime deficit to 2-1 after a goal less than a minute into the second half, but American Athletic Conference favorite UCF picked up a 4-1 win in the conference opener Saturday night in Memphis, Tenn.
Memphis drops to 1-5-1 (0-1-0 AAC) with the loss, and UCF improves to 3-3-0 (1-0-0 AAC).
KEY MOMENTS
- UCF took a 2-0 lead into the break after goals in the 11th and 17th minutes.
- Memphis came out the aggressor after intermission, with Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos scoring 33 seconds into the second half off a cross from Peter Chang.
