MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer (3-3-1) will hit the road for the second time in 2021 as they head to Music City to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores for the team's last non-conference action of the season at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and the contest will be broadcast on SEC Network+.

That's our #12
Last Sunday, senior forward Peyton DePriest scored her 50th goal against the Huskies to break the C-USA record for career goals scored to become the C-USA all-time leader in goals scored, surpassing a mark that had been held by Marquette's Kelly Roethe since 1996-99, and earning C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors.

DePriest also currently leads the NCAA D-I in career goals scored for student-athletes that have played their entire collegiate career at the Division I level with 51 goals scored throughout her five-year career.

Scouting the Blue Raiders
Middle Tennessee Soccer enters Sunday's contest with a 3-3-1 record and a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to the ETSU Buccaneers on Friday Evening.

DePriest leads the Blue Raiders offensively this season with five goals through seven contests, while sophomore Taylor Hamlett has scored a team second-best two goals during the 2021 campaign. Senior Miya Lennon leads the Blue Raiders in assists through seven games, dishing out three, while senior Sam DeBien and DePriest have tallied two assists apiece.

Junior Hannah Suder has played all but one contest in net for the Blue Raiders in 2021, registering 560 minutes in net and collecting a team-high 22 saves through seven contests.

Scouting the Commodores
The Commodores are in year 7 under head coach Darren Ambrose. During his run in Nashville, Ambrose's Commodores have amassed a 73-42-12 record, claiming a SEC regular season championship, SEC Eastern Division championship, and an SEC Tournament championship title, as well as four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

Vanderbilt enters Sunday's contest with a 3-3-1 record through seven games this season, coming most recently off a 2-0 shutout over fellow Nashville native Lipscomb.

Raegan Kelley leads a Commodore offense that has scored 12 goals this season from seven different players in 2021. Peyton Cutshall and Abi Brighton have also scored a pair of goals, while Madison Elwell has dished out a team-leading two assists for Vanderbilt this season.

Commodores' keeper Katie Devine has played and started all seven games in net for Vanderbilt this season, allowing 10 goals and collecting 18 saves over 626 minutes played.

Last Time Out
Middle Tennessee Soccer welcomed the ETSU Buccaneers to Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium on Friday night, dropping a heartbreaking 2-1 result.

The opening parts of the contest were a back-and-forth battle between the Blue Raiders and the Buccaneers. ETSU broke the stalemate in the 43rd minute off a throw in that the Buccaaneers' Kyra Ranvek headed in to take the 1-0 advantage headed into the halftime break.

The Buccaneers added to their lead in the 65th minute as ETSU's Ranvek tallied her second score of the contest to put ETSU up by two, 2-0.
The Blue Raiders found a spark in the 79th minute as Peyton DePriest drew an ETSU foul in the penalty box to set up a PK, which she would eventually net off her left foot to cut the Blue Raiders deficit to one, 2-1.

A pair of Middle Tennessee opportunities unfortunately came up fruitless over the final 10 minutes of play before the horn sounded to close out the 2-1 Blue Raider defeat.

Series History
The Commodores lead the all-time series over the Blue Raiders, 5-0, including a 2-0 advantage in Music City. The two sides meet for the first time since 2012, which saw the Blue Raiders fall 2-0 to the Commodores in Murfreesboro.

The Blue Raiders open C-USA play on Thursday, Sept. 16 as they host the FIU Panthers inside Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
