Water flooded yards and basements from a main break in Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood Thursday morning.
The break on Voelkel Avenue was reported around 5 a.m., the Trib’s news partner, WPXI-TV, reported.
Water was running down Voelkel Avenue near Wenzell Avenue until about 6:30 a.m.

Residents were saying they were without water and electricity, WPXI reported.
Crews from Pennsylvania American Water were at the scene. A spokesman for the utility was looking into the matter.
