WEIRTON — The Madonna boys basketball team battled Cameron in a close game inside the Dube Dome Tuesday night, and in the end it was the Dragons who prevailed, 67-63.
After trailing 20-5 at the end of one and trailing by 16 at halftime, the Blue Dons battled back in the third quarter to close the deficit to 51-44.
Madonna again had the better output in the fourth, but the hole was just too steep.
Leading the comeback effort for the Blue Dons was Evan Bone with 19 points, while Santino Arlia finished with 12 points.
