Breaking and entering, Bettie Lane

Police arrested a man suspected of breaking into cars on Bettie Lane at 12:24 a.m. Nov. 13. Witnesses were able to provide police with a description of the man. Police located the man in the area. No items were reported stolen from any of the victims’ cars.

Disorderly conduct, Center Road

Police responded to a call of a man causing a disturbance at a restaurant at 3:41 p.m. Nov. 9. The man was highly intoxicated and employees said he was found sleeping in his booth. He was awakened and told by the staff he would not be served any more alcohol, at which point the man reportedly became loud and belligerent. Police arrested the man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and noted that he was too intoxicated to unable to walk under his power, even with the assistance of a walker. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Brunswick for medical evaluation. In addition to the disorderly conduct charge, the man was cited for trespassing.

Traffic crash/obstruction, Grafton Road

A woman was cited on numerous charges, including making a false report, obstructing official business, falsification and wrongful entrustment when police were called to a traffic crash  at the intersection of Grafton and Hadcock roads at 5 p.m. Nov. 11. The woman was cited, but it was later determined that her boyfriend, who had multiple warrants and a suspended license, was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.

Open container, Pearl Road

A man was cited for physical control and open container at 12:06 a.m. Nov. 12 when police found him sleeping inside his car parked at the Laurel Square shopping plaza. The man reportedly admitted to drinking in his car and failed a blood-alcohol breath test.

Impaired driver, Center Road

A driver was cited for marked lanes and open container and was released to his sister following a traffic stop at 7:44 p.m. Nov. 13. The driver was pulled over on Center Road for driving outside marked lanes and an open container of Mike’s Hard Lemonade was seen under the driver seat, reports said.
