UND finally played a home game Jan. 22 after spending 329 days away.
The Fighting Hawks had long awaited their return to Ralph Engelstad Arena, a place they went 18-1 last season.
But The Ralph, which routinely sells out its 11,643-seat venue and annually leads the nation in attendance, was unable to sell out its COVID-19 social-distancing seating chart of 3,000 fans or 25 percent capacity for that series against Colorado College.
The pricey $69 upper-bowl tickets may have had something to do with that, so UND and Ralph Engelstad Arena have dropped ticket prices for the next home series.
Upper-bowl tickets are now $49 for UND's home series against rival Denver, scheduled for 7:37 p.m. next Friday (Feb. 12) and 6:07 p.m. next Saturday (Feb. 13). There are still a couple hundred tickets left for each game, mostly in the upper bowl.
UND has three home games left after the Denver series -- all against Omaha -- but those single-game tickets have not gone on sale yet.
UND and Ralph Engelstad Arena are expected to maintain 3,000 as the cap on attendance for the remainder of the season.
The Fighting Hawks are 13-4-1 and ranked No. 3 nationally. They've won 22 of their last 23 home games going back to the end of the 2018-19 season.
