BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A large water main break was reported in West Baltimore Friday afternoon.
The 20-inch water main break is in the 1500 block of West Lafayette Avenue near North Stricker Street.

A resident said the water flooded her home.
“My whole house is gone, water up to the ceiling,” said resident Angela. “Everything is gone”
Local fire dept is without water but they say not to worry, water bottles were brought in for firefighters. One neighbor says water is up to the ceiling of her home. She is 9 months pregnant. Officials say she will be staying in a hotel tonight @wjz

DPW’s Community Engagement team is going door to door to check on residents.
The area is closed to traffic.
