A water main break had southbound U.S. 35 closed on the south side of Winamac Tuesday afternoon. INDOT said the southbound lanes were closed between Ontario Street and County Road 100 South.
Winamac Water Superintendent Jeremy Beckner says the break was repaired as of 5:00 p.m. EDT. He expected the highway to fully reopen by about 6:00. Beckner says his crews had been working on the break since 6:30 a.m.
