Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has dropped 10 passes this year, an alarming total. Broncos coach Vic Fangio isn’t too concerned about the drops, though, suggesting that Jeudy has a bright future ahead of him.

Fangio doesn’t believe drops will plague Jeudy throughout his career. If they do, he could still end up in good company.

Demaryius Thomas, one of the best wide receivers in franchise history, dropped nine passes in 2015, 10 passes in 2014, eight passes in 2013 and 10 passes in 2012. Denver went to a pair of Super Bowls during that time frame, winning Super Bowl 50 after DT’s nine-drop season.

In his final season with the Broncos in 2018, Thomas dropped six passes in eight games. Hanging onto the ball was clearly a problem for DT.

Despite all those drops, Thomas will still be remembered as one of the best WRs in team history. He ranks second on Denver’s all-time receiving list for yards (9,055) and touchdowns (60), only trailing Rod Smith.

Thomas ended his career with a Super Bowl ring and five Pro Bowl nods. Even if Jeudy’s drops persist, he can still have an accomplished career much like Thomas.
