A record-setting regular season for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will conclude on Sunday against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

Rodgers, now the MVP favorite, is entering Week 17 with a chance to break one of his own NFL records.

Through 15 games, Rodgers has 13 games with a passer rating of at least 100.0, tying the NFL record he set in 2011. With another game over 100.0 against the Bears on Sunday, he’ll set the new mark.

Setting the record would represent an unprecedented run of consistency, efficiency and high-level play from the quarterback position.

Rodgers’ only two games with a passer rating under 100.0 came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6 (35.4) and Carolina Panthers in Week 15 (91.6).

Overall, Rodgers has nine games with a passer rating over 120.0, already the most in a season in NFL history. According to the team, he’s also set new NFL records for games with a passer rating of at least 100.0 and three or more touchdown passes (11) and games with a passer rating of at least 120.0 and four or more touchdown passes (six).

Rodgers’ overall passer rating in 2020 is 119.4, currently the third-best mark of all-time, trailing himself in 2011 (122.5) and Peyton Manning in 2004 (121.1).

Rodgers completed a season-high 84.0 percent of his passes during Sunday night’s win over the Tennessee Titans. He threw four more touchdown passes, giving him an NFL-high 44 for the season. His career-best for touchdown passes in a season is 45.

With a completion percentage of 70.3 entering Sunday, Rodgers has a chance to become just the second quarterback in NFL history to finish a season with 40 or more touchdown passes and a completion percentage above 70.0 (Drew Brees, 2011).
