DURHAM, N.C.—As the current Duke men's soccer teams wraps up its regular season schedule and begins to look ahead to the ACC Championship, four former Blue Devils are doing the same at the professional level after clinching a spot in the Major League Soccer with MLS Cup Playoffs slated to start Nov. 20.

Duke concludes its regular season Nov. 6 at North Carolina and begins ACC Championship action Nov. 15 with the ACC Quarterfinals. Major League Soccer also wraps its regular season that weekend, Nov. 8 and will commence its postseason events Nov. 20. MLS Cup is set for Dec. 12.

Leading the charge among Blue Devils in MLS is striker Brian White of the New York Red Bulls as the franchise clinched a spot in the playoffs with a last-minute goal against New England Revolution last week. Red Bulls currently sit in eighth in the Eastern Conference and three points behind New England.

White has had a major role in the Red Bull's recent success, scoring three goals and an assist in the past four games. He came off the bench in two of those and provided the equalizing goal twice in stoppage time against Orlando City SC and Chicago Fire. White most recently recorded a goal and an assist in a 5-2 setback to NYCFC.

Former Blue Devil and current New York Red Bulls captain Sean Davis has made a return to the lineup after an injury sidelined him for a few games. He has started four of the past six games since returning to the lineup Oct. 10.

Former Blue Devils also preparing for the MLS Cup playoffs are Sebastien Ibeagha (NYCFC) and Jeremy Ebobisse (Portland Timbers). Ibeagha and NYCFC secured a place in the postseason event last week and are fifth in the Eastern Conference with 36 points.

Ebobisse picked up an injury recently, but has had a stellar season for Portland. The Timbers are tops in the Western Conference, holding a two-point edge over Sporting KC. Portland already have one trophy this season in their collection, winning the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando.
