The series, which will be the first Marvel-produced series for Disney+, was sidelined by the production shutdown due to the pandemic in March, with several weeks of filming left. Though it never had an official release date, The Falcon & the Winter Soldier had been expected to hit the service in August.
Ramirez will join returning Marvel actors Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp, as well as universe newcomer Wyatt Russell.
This is the latest big-budget project for Ramirez, who is a part of the cast of the anticipated Top Gun: Maverick. His past feature credits include Assassination Nation and the Valley Girl remake, while his series credits include an arch on popular Netflix series On My Block and Fox's Marvel offering The Gifted.
He is repped by CAA, Anonymous Content and Hansen Jacobson.
