Island Free Library Programs
Two chances to explore books, reading, singing and crafting with Ms. Morgan’s Storytime, Wednesdays at 4 p.m. live on Facebook and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. live on Zoom. Please contact the library at (401) 466-3233 to have the Zoom link sent to you.
-Music Time with Ms. Carrie returns on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Live on Facebook.
The following programs, presented by the library and the Senior Advisory

-Book Group (with the Senior Advisory Committee) discusses “The World That We Knew” by Alice Hoffman on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. Request a Zoom invite from Gloria Redlich or the library.
-Frankenstein Tea: A short story program for adult listeners on the Island Free Library YouTube channel daily at 3 p.m.
-Found Poetics, a joint program with the Senior Advisory Committee, will be returning in October. Interested participants can contact Gloria Redlich or the library.
Library Outside Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. At our front entrance and at the Kids’ Garden takeout window.
-Take and Make Tuesdays at the Kids’ Garden take-out window. Take home craft kits available for pick-up during Tuesday’s Library outside hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Helping Hands Food Pantry
The first Helping Hands Food Pantry of the season will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Harbor Church between 1 and 3 p.m.

Wake Up Well Podcast
Block Island’s podcast of community conversations released its 19th episode. All are available on Anchor and Spotify. Contact wakeupwellblockisland@gmail.com to join the discussion.

Two Guys On Block Island Podcast
A new podcast hosted by Rich Tretheway and Marc Scortino who will, each week, feature guests and chat about Block Island. New episodes will drop each week on Wednesday wherever podcasts can be heard.

Block Island Fall 2020 Series
Kim Gaffett, The Nature Conservancy’s OVF Naturalist, will be hosting the fall season of “Zoom on Nature.” Each month Kim will take us on a tour of one of the island’s many natural areas, chosen with the beauty of the season in mind. In addition to getting a glimpse of the island’s beauty, participants may get hints on where to look for orbs. Go to www.natureblockisland.org to join the Zoom.
