Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: 5 adds and 3 drops for NFL Week 4 - Cincy Jungle

apenabe.blogspot.com

Week 4 is the last week before we kickoff bye week season.

Luckily, Week 3 wasn’t as bad with injuries as last week. That means you’re probably in a better position to add some speculative additions to the your roster to possibly plug in to replace players on byes.

Here are Week 4’s adds and drops:

Adds

Tee Higgins, Bengals, WR: Higgins had his numbers inflated a bit with A.J. Green drawing a tough matchup against Darius Slay, but he started in place of John Ross, and his performance didn’t do much to change that. He had a few contested catches that he didn’t pull in, but nine targets for five catches, 40 yards and two touchdowns means he should at least be rostered. He is currently only owned in four percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Justin Jefferson, Vikings, WR: It was a coming out party for Jefferson in Week 3. He only had 70 yards on five catches coming into the game, but the team made an effort to get him involved and he ended the day with seven catches, 175 yards and a touchdown on the day. It is hard to believe he won’t be as involved going forward with that production.

Mo Alie-Cox, Colts, TE: Philip Rivers loves his tight ends, and it appears that Alie-Cox is the next one that fantasy owners should keep track of. He has scored in the past two games. It also helps he has some decent matchups against the Bears and Browns coming up as well.

Brandon Aiyuk, 49er, WR: The 49ers made Aiyuk a focal point on his way to recording over 100 total yards with 11 touches (eight catches) and a touchdown on the day. The 49ers will be getting some players like George Kittle and Deebo Samuel back soon, but it is safe to say Aiyuk has earned some more touches in this offense.

Myles Gaskin, Dolphins, RB: Gaskin had 22 rushes and five catches on Thursday Night Football. He didn’t crack 100 yards or score a touchdown, but he is the undisputed feature back for Miami right now. He is owned in less than 50 percent of leagues, and that is pretty unacceptable for a feature back.

Drops

Giants RBs not named Devonta Freeman: Freeman still has the most upside of any of the backs, but he is still learning the offense. In the interim, Dion Lewis and Wayne Gallman didn’t looks worth throwing in your fantasy lineup as they barely combined to put a blip on the fantasy radar.

Nyheim Hines, Colts, RB: It has been the Jonathan Taylor show for the Colts. Hines had a solid 11 touch game with about 60 yards, and that appears to be his ceiling. At best, he is a matchup-based flex option, and completely dropping him may not be in order unless you are confident about the guy you are replacing him for. Maybe try to trade him to someone recovering from losing a major running back.

N’Keal Harry, Patriots, WR: It is probably a safe bet to stay away from Patriots’ wide receivers outside of Julian Edelman. Harry had a pretty nice Week 2, but he returned to moderate obscurity again in Week 3. This offense just doesn’t need multiple receivers to go off for this offense to get going. It is better to have a better speculative option sitting on your roster.
