Not to sound like a broken record, but it's going to be another muggy day in Greater Cincinnati.
The combination of heat and humidity will result in heat indices near 100 on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
That could also lead to some thunderstorms developing Monday afternoon and evening that could be severe. Damaging winds are the primary threat but heavy rain could also result in flooding issues.
"Numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop by mid-afternoon in the local area. Expect torrential downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds with this activity through the evening," the National Weather Service said. "Conditions may change rapidly from sunny skies to hazardous weather for many this afternoon."
We will get a break from the heat this week, forecasters said.
On Wednesday, a cold front will roll into Greater Cincinnati. The front will give us a day of dry weather and will drop temperatures to the low 80s for the end of the workweek and the weekend.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Overnight low around 69.
Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Overnight chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low around 67.
Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. Overnight low around 64.
Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Overnight chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low around 66
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
