Frontier City - which reopened Friday with a mask requirement, temperature checks, required reservations and other safety protocols to protect visitors and employees from COVID-19 - has instituted "mask free break zones."
As previously reported, the Oklahoma City theme park last weekend became the first of Six Flags' 26 theme parks across the country to reopen. Fronter City announced on March 13 that it was temporarily suspending operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The "mask free zones" at Frontier City were announced in an email today.
"We realize face masks are a challenging part of our new reality for guests and team members. We have several new locations in the park where we welcome guests to take a 'face mask break' for a short duration," according to the email.
The Frontier City "mask free zones" are located in the following areas:
- The South Awning
- Tumbleweed Deck
- Between the Best of the West and Renegade
- Go Kart Benches
- Gamesville Junction
- Patio on the East side of Fort Frontier
- Timber Town Gazebo next to Hootie's Tree House
- All smoking areas
